The Role

This role is all about protection and communication. As an RWIC, you’re the link between our client and the railroad. You’ll ensure that all work near active tracks is done safely and by the book. Your leadership and focus will keep trains moving and crews safe. While there are pros, we are experts, and your skillset will be put on display daily.

Job Responsibilities

Keep field crews protected by coordinating On-Track Safety with train dispatchers and trains
Conduct thorough daily job briefings to ensure everyone knows the plan
Control job site access and track movement limits — it’s your zone
Set up, move, and remove signs, derails, and other safety tools (15–90 lbs.)
Complete accurate documentation, including daily reports and flagging logs
Maintain constant radio communication and stay sharp under pressure
Participate in ongoing training to stay qualified and ready
Be flexible, reliable, and ready to support your team wherever the job takes you

Experience Required

Minimum 2 years of Class I railroad experience (MOW, TY&E, or dispatch preferred) If you have less, but the drive and right mindset, we’re open to training the right person
Must pass 49 CFR Part 219 drug and alcohol requirements (pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, reasonable cause and random program)
Strong communication skills and solid decision-making under pressure
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and travel as needed
Physically capable of lifting, placing, and removing safety equipment
Experience with GCOR or MWOR a plus
Any railroad credentials preferred
